Apple Themed Activities
The apple theme is such a preschool classic! There are so many different activities you can bring into your classroom:)
During the beginning of the school year, we trace the letters of the alphabet a lot. It is fun to change up the theme and these apple letters add a bit of fall to our classroom. Have the kids trace the letters on the apples and then have them write the letters in a salt tray. These apple letters are available in my TPT store. (Numbers are also included in the resource!)
Apple stamping! Tip, it is much easier and cleaner if you cut a handle into the apple for the kids to grip. We are also working on patterning, so when I demonstrated how to print with the apple, we did green apple, red apple, green apple, red apple.
We are also doing a lot of name work, so this apple name project was perfect. The kids have been practicing since the first day of school using scissors and it is paying off with some fun activities. The templates for the apples are a free resource in my Teachers Pay Teachers store.
Apple transferring on the practical life shelf had been a favorite!
My two go-to apple books are Ten Apples Up On Top and Ten Red Apples. We have a lot more apple books on the shelf but these two are PERFECT for storytime.
The kids LOVE these apple and worm preposition cards. Once I introduce the activity to them it never fails they want to do them again and again and again! This apple and worm preposition activity is available in my TPT Store.
And we painted apple trees! I just love how they turned out!
Just a simple apple painting invite and the kids LOVED it. (We are working on patterning in class, notice how my artist painted the apple letters!) Here is the apple template if you are interested:)
