Are you looking for some fun March shelf activities? Here are a few St. Patrick’s Day-inspired activities for your preschool classroom.
Adding these shamrock coins to a piggy bank is great for working on your student’s eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills.
Cut out small rainbows and add thin markers for your students to color.
My students love using this small bottle of glue all year round. (Yes, I just used an old cleaned-out nail polish bottle and added glue.) Draw a small shamrock on a piece of construction paper and cut out small pieces of different colored green tissue paper.
I cut a shamrock out of green poster board, laminated it, and punched holes to make this sewing template. I added a plastic needle and thread. Double up the thread to save you endless hours of re-threading the needle.
Draw shamrocks on green paper and have your students poke on the line. Punch out the shape and glue it to a contrasting piece of paper.
Make shamrock necklaces with dyed pasta and cut-out shamrocks.
Work on finger strength with this activity. Draw a shamrock and place it on a piece of corkboard. Have your students add the push pins along the shape.
Add light and dark green markers to a simple coloring activity.
Try some of these March shelf activities in your classroom.
