Here are a group of random objects that we used. I would then cover the items, remove one and ask, “Can you tell me which object is missing?”
This is also a fun game to play with colors. Which color is missing?
This month we have been working on our 3-D solid shapes. Playing what 3-D shape is missing is a great way to reinforce the names of the shapes.
During transition times or when we have a few extra minutes during story time I like to have visual posters to keep the kids engaged. These, “What are missing?” posters have been so fun.
The snowman is great for the younger kids to get the idea of the game.
This snow globe filled with winter objects is perfect for working on winter vocablulary.
