Apple and Worm Preschool Activity
Your students will love working with this hands-on apple and worm preschool activity! To use this resource print the preposition cards, the apples, and the worm, laminate, cut out, and add a popsicle stick to the worm. Use the cards to teach position words and have your students practice moving the worm to the different positions. You can find this resource in my TPT store here!
Tell your students, “Place the worm behind the apple.”
“Place the worm over the apple.”
“Place the worm in front of the apple.”
“Place the worm in between the apples.”
After they have practiced a few times, have your students practice without the cards.
The resource also includes a black-and-white version of the activity so your students can color and make their own apples and worm to practice at home.
Print the, “Where is the Worm?” book to read during group time. 3-part cards are also included in the resource for additional position word practice. The position words include over, under, in front of, behind, on, in between, next to, beside, above, beneath, near, and far.
