April Preschool Fun Activities
Looking for fun April preschool activities? I love making things for my classroom! This year I added them all together into one resource to help other teachers in their preschool classrooms. You can find this resource in my TPT Store.
Shapes
These spring puddle shape posters add a little fun for the month of April. Place them on the wall for seasonal decor or use them during circle time to reinforce shape names.
Fine Motor Activities
This fun Easter printable is great to practice tracing lines.
I have this Easter egg set up on our writing table. Have an example so the kids will have an idea of what they could do with the printable.
This is one of our most popular activities during our independent work time. Add push pins and a corkboard to this fine motor exercise.
Cut these sheets into strips and have the kids practice snipping.
Alphabet and Writing Activities
Use this fun poem to talk about animals that hatch from eggs or use the letters of the alphabet to reinforce sounds.
Kids love to make their own books. Use these rainy day and Easter vocabulary cards and printables. Add some fun colored paper and have the kids color.
Go on a sight word Easter Egg hunt in your classroom. Hang these Easter egg sight words around your classroom and give your kids clipboards and lined paper.
Our wall in the classroom always has the vowels hanging up and we sing the vowel song every day after we sing the alphabet.
Math Activities
There are so many cute counters around Easter time and adding them to a 10-frame is perfect for your math shelf!
Kids LOVE to roll dice! Roll the dice and then cross off the number of raindrops. Which number will win?
Use two dice to add to 100! Roll the dice, add the numbers together, and cross off the raindrops until they reach 100.
April Poem and Wall Decor
This is a fun poem for April!
We sing both the months of the year and days of the week before counting the days on the calendar.
Fun Name Tags
I love changing out our name tags and have been known to change them every other week to add a little extra to our themes.
