Fall Scissor Activities for the Preschool Classroom

When preschoolers first come into the classroom, they immediately go for the scissors.  We start off the first day of school learning how to use scissors safely and the correct way to hold them.  Fingers in the larger hole and thumb in the smaller hole. Thumb on top and elbow in.  We then just cut strips, lots of strips every day!   Soon they are ready for wider strips and then the fun begins.  Here are a few fall scissor activities that you can do with your preschoolers.
