Fire Safety Week Preschool Activities
Fire safety week takes place each year on the week of October 6th. We are always on fall break during fire safety week, so I will plan all of our preschool activities surrounding fire safety during the last week of September. These circle time posters are perfect to spark a conversation on the various concepts surrounding fire safety in your preschool class. Find these activities here.
We talk about fire trucks, what firemen are wearing, and knowing two ways out of our homes.
During fire safety week we will also have our first fire drill. We practice leaving our work out, quietly lining up at the door, and walking to our safe spot.
The kids love to color their own phones and practice dialing 911 in an emergency. I like to print them on heavier card stock.
During circle time, have your students guess which shape the firemen are hiding behind!
A few printables for your students to color.
Fire safety vocabulary cards
This is a favorite activity to do while outside during fire safety week. Print, laminate, and cut out flames. Hang them up outside and have the kids use squirt bottles to put out the flames.
All of these activities can be found in my Fire Safety Resource here.
