Preschool Halloween Art Projects
There are so many fun Halloween art projects you can do with your students in preschool. Not to mention all the fun Halloween crafts! Here are a few fun and easy art projects you can try in your classroom.
Fun sponge print ghosts!
Cut a sponge into the shape of a ghost and add white paint and black paper. Use a very small paintbrush and black paint to add the faces.
Finger painting and color mixing pumpkins.
On a large sheet of white paper draw a pumpkin and add red and yellow paint. Once the fingerprinting is dry cut out the pumpkin and give your students jack-o’-lantern pieces to add.
Marble painting pumpkins! Add yellow and orange paint to a piece of paper. Here I printed a template onto white construction paper. These look so good when made into a pumpkin patch wall display!
Here is another fun marble painting project. Add white paint to purple paper to make the web part of the project. When the paint is dry add two handprints to make the spiders. Then once the handprints are dry add the googly eyes.
Set up a collage project with all things orange. Here I added pom poms, feathers, washi tape, an orange paint stick, and cut-up tissue paper, fabric, and paint chips.
Here I used cardboard to make the pumpkin, but next time I will use heavy card stock. It will be much easier to prep!
Whenever I need a quick art project, I head to the playdough table and grab a few seasonal cookie cutters. Try making a windsock out of these art papers. See here for inspiration.
Paint pumpkins! Place a medium-sized pumpkin into a tray. When preparing the paint I like to add a little dish soap to give the paint a thinner consistency. Add pipettes and let the kids decorate the pumpkin.
