We start preschool in early August and Sea Animals is the perfect theme to start with. Here are a few of the activities that will be available for the kids.
Water beads are an instant favorite. I love these all blue water beads, just add sea animals.
Add sea animals to blue playdough. Here is my go-to recipe.
Transferring starfish
Sea animal cards in the pocket chart. The kids love to use the pointer to “read” the sentences.
A sea animal emergent reader to print and read and one to print and color.
On the math shelf, we have sea animal clip cards.
Using our magnet fishing pole to catch a shape fish! Download shape fish here and print of colored paper.
An easy fish project for your art shelf. Just cut out fish and give the kids strips to tear and a glue stick.
Painting sea animal shapes at the art table and at the easel. Cut out sharks, whales, fish, starfish, sea horses, etc…
Making prints on sea animal cutouts. Here we are using toothpaste lids. Great fine motor practice!
