Themes are a great way to change up the activities in your preschool or homeschool classroom. Here are a few of the space-themed activities that are available to the kids during our space week.
Some of these printables can be found in my TPT store.
Matching planet cards
This astronaut page was a big hit with the kids! I added a photo of their faces to the astronaut spacesuit.
Our space sensory bin was an easy set-up. We used black beans, some space cut outs I found at our craft store, and the space TOOB figures.
At the easel, I cut out circles and had the kids paint their own planets. I love how this child painted our earth:)
This was one of the most used activities. The kids love to pull out preposition work and the rocket and astronaut version was in constant use.
A worksheet version of the rocket and astronaut was also available during our free-choice time.
We made our space rockets and talked about the different shapes used. Here is a pdf of the shape rocket. I used a punch to make the stars.
