The Cat and The Box
This cat and the box preposition activity has been hands down the most popular activity in our classroom this month! My students have requested to do it every day and multiple times a day. You can find the cards here in my TPT store, but you can always take photos and print your own version.
To prepare this activity for your classroom print the positional word cards and grab a box and a stuffed cat. Show your student the card and say, “Can you put the cat in the box?”
Practice each of the cards and then have your students practice without the cards by telling them where to place the cat.
The cards in the resource include over, under, in front of, behind, on, in, between, next to, beside, above, beneath, near, and far.
This is such a fun hands on activity to do with your students! Here is a link to the cat and box used.
The resource includes printables to make your own cat and box. I added a popsicle stick to the cat.
A black and white printable version is also included in the resource. Your students can color and practice at home.
This would make a fun center activity!
