Valentine’s Day Shelf Ideas for the Preschool Classroom
Add these Valentine’s Day shelf ideas to your preschool classroom this holiday season!
Your students will love it if you set up your preschool shelves with fun heart and Valentine’s Day related activities!
Washi Tape Hearts
The kids love to use washi tape and it is so good for their finger muscles! Don’t be afraid they will just pull, pull, and pull until it all comes off, I have never had that happen and many of these rolls have been used for years. Show the kids how to pull off what they need and then tear it. You could always add a pair of scissors to the activity.
Pony Bead Heart Wands
Making heart wands is always a favorite! Bend the pipe cleaner into a heart and then have the kids add the beads! Make a bunch, they will want to make more than one! The kids can also make bracelets to share with their friends or make the pipe cleaner into a heart after they have strung the beads.
Hole Punch Hearts
Heart punches are fun for the kids to make their own hearts! I add these hearts to this fun Valentine’s Day card.
Valentine’s Day Scissor Puzzles
Print these puzzles and have your students color and cut on the lines. They then can put them back together to make a puzzle. These puzzles are available in my TPT store:) Looking for more scissor activities this month? Try here!
Valentine’s Day Shelf Activity – Drop-Drop-Not-A-Lot
Drop, drop, not-a-lot hearts are fun for gluing gems! Just cut out hearts from construction paper, add dots and have the students add the drops of glue and gems.
Folded Hearts – A Valentine Shelf Activity
Folded hearts are a must on the Valentine’s Day shelf! Prepare twice as many as needed!
Hole Punch Heart Shapes
These hole punch strips are available in my TPT store and include all the shapes. Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to add the heart strips. This is the hole punch we love!
Valentine Shelf Coloring Activity
We love to make little puppets throughout the year! Adding fun Valentine’s Day-themed coloring pages seemed natural.
