We have had a lot of fun with our winter art projects the last few weeks!
Since we are in Northern California, rainy days have been rare the past few years and in these kiddos lives, so we are celebrating the rain. I put a couple of different shades of blue paint and white paint at the easel and had them “paint rain”. Loved the results!Seriously, each of these snowman have so much personality!
After reading Snowmen At Night, (fun story about what snowmen do when we are sleeping) I planned a big elaborate art project and mentioned to the kiddos we would be doing it the following school day. Well, long story short, the art project was a fail when I tried it and it never made it to the shelf. Of course, the kiddos did not forget and asked for it. Black paper, white chalk and a quick tutorial on how to draw a snowman did the trick!
Threading blue and white beads to make bracelets
Drawing snowflakes; this was also encouraged at the easel with paint!
