St. Patrick’s Day Preschool Activities
St. Patrick’s Day Preschool Activities bring a lot of green into our classroom.
St. Patrick’s Day Painting Activities
Color mixing to make different shades of green is so much fun! Add blue, yellow, white, black, and different shades of green to a palette, and let the kids mix and paint the shamrocks.
I demonstrated the activity first.
I also explained to the kids they would only have one paintbrush and to think about when they used the black paint.
The kids absolutely loved this project! Grab the printout of the shamrock templates here.
This is an easy art project to set up. Use shamrock cookie cutters and green paint with a little glue mixed in to make the prints. Add glitter, of course! We made these windsocks out of our art!
St. Patrick’s Day Sensory Activities
One of our sensory tables had green water beads and shaving cream. Sooooo much fun!
This sensory table had white beans which I dyed green, plastic coins, scoopers, and pots.
(To dye the white beans: place the white beans in a ziplock bag and add various shades of green acrylic paint. Air dry them on paper towels on top of cookie sheets. Very easy and they turned out so pretty!)
St. Patrick’s Day Stem Activity
For our STEM project, I layered dish soap, green watercolor, and baking sodas in the pots. I gave the kids the jars of vinegar and pipettes and let them go to town.
St. Patrick’s Day Math Activity
For our math project, we made rainbow number chains. The kids traced the numbers and then glued them in order to make a chain. They are available here in my TPT store!
St. Patrick’s Day Perfect Read Aloud
How to Catch a Leprechaun is by far our favorite St. Patrick’s Day book!
