Letter J – Preschool Alphabet Activities
Learning new letters in preschool becomes even more exciting when children explore them through hands-on activities, fine motor practice, and playful learning experiences. Focusing on one letter at a time helps young learners build confidence with letter recognition and beginning sounds.
When introducing words that begin with J, such as jump and jellyfish. Encourage your students to say the words aloud and listen for the /j/ sound at the beginning. Talking about familiar actions like jumping will help your students connect the letter to real-life words they remember.
