Letter U – Preschool Alphabet Activities
Learning new letters in preschool becomes even more engaging when your students can explore them through hands-on activities, fine motor practice, and playful experiences. Taking time to focus on one letter at a time helps young learners build confidence with letter recognition and beginning sounds.
Start by introducing words that begin with U, such as umbrella and umbrella bird. Encourage your students to say the words aloud and listen for the /u/ sound at the beginning. Incorporating simple, interactive activities into your centers is a great way to reinforce letter learning while giving students opportunities to practice early literacy and fine motor skills.
