Letter H – Preschool Alphabet Activities
Learning new letters in preschool is even more exciting when your students can explore them through hands-on activities, fine motor practice, and playful learning experiences. Taking time to focus on one letter at a time helps young learners build confidence with letter recognition and beginning sounds.
Start by introducing words that begin with H, such as hippopotamus, helicopter, house, horse, and heart. Encourage your students to say the words aloud and listen for the /h/ sound at the beginning. Adding simple, engaging activities to your centers is a great way to reinforce letter learning while giving preschoolers opportunities to practice important early literacy skills.
