Letter M – Preschool Alphabet Activities
Discovering new letters in preschool becomes even more meaningful when your students can learn through hands-on activities, playful exploration, and fine motor practice. Spending time focusing on one letter at a time helps young learners strengthen their letter recognition skills while also becoming more familiar with beginning sounds.
Start by introducing words that begin with M, such as monkey, moon, mouse, muffin, and map. Invite your students to say each word out loud and listen carefully for the /m/ sound at the beginning. Adding simple, engaging activities to your learning centers is a fun and effective way to reinforce letter recognition while keeping students excited about learning.
