Letter Y – Preschool Alphabet Activities
Learning new letters in preschool becomes even more meaningful when your students can explore them through hands-on play, fine motor activities, and engaging learning experiences. Focusing on one letter at a time helps build confidence with letter recognition and beginning sounds.
Start by introducing words that begin with Y, such as yak and yo-yo. Encourage your students to say each word aloud and listen closely for the /y/ sound at the beginning. This helps strengthen their understanding of letter-sound connections while making learning fun and interactive.
